Why haven't you mitigated your damages as required by law?
Why didn't you file a claim on your own insurance? Oh let me guess...'it's not my fault why should I?' See my first question.
How long does it take to resolve? However long it takes, that's how long. Their insurance has no obligation to you other than to properly compensate for damages, assuming they have proper coverage, assuming the car wasn't stolen, assuming you have MITIGATED YOUR DAMAGES! |

As insurance companies go you really do get what you pay for. If you have coverage through a small company then it usually takes much, much longer to have a claim processed vs a giant like State Farm that has thousands of claims adjusters, appraisers, investigators and claims offices across the entire country. To the dopes that suggest you tell your insurer you are going to get a lawyer -- your company will either laugh in your face or laugh after they hang up on you. They are NOT afraid of any lawyer (or YOU for that matter). Just keep calling twice a day until it gets handled or you get a reasonable response. |

call the insurance company and keep calling them until you get it resolved. good luck keep track of when you call and to whom you talk to. also send them a few letters. If that does not help put a claim in thru small claim court depending on how much the claim is. |

Well you Co. is contacting the other Co. and coming to agreement. Don't waist money on lawyer till you contact Co. agent.
The average turnaround for insurance Co. is 4 weeks plus . According to the owners of cars going through body shop. |

If you haven't heard anything from the company, I would recommend calling them for an update. It's unfortunate, but the squeeky (sp?) wheel gets the oil. |

They are probably working it out with the truck driver's insurance company. There's no harm in calling in and asking about the status of your claim.
As far as time goes, there is no required timeline for claims. Some claims take longer to sort out than others. |

See, insurance companies work with thousands and millions of clients on a daily basis. For them to take your situation much serious, they need a little kick.
Threaten them with your lawyer and I bet you someone will be on your case A.S.A.P |
