They said that my car may b dropped as well because our cars are together on the same policy, what do I do? My record is clean hubby has tickets and accident....help! Both vehicles are leases and I HAVE to have insurance!!!!

The best thing to do is call an independent agent. They have access to multiple companies and should be able to help you. You should NEVER exclude your spouse on your policy. It just is not a good idea. Switch both cars to another policy, pay the higher premiums for a couple of years and then you can go back to a company with lower rates. I would definitely call around. |

Change companies, but don't expect it to be easy. Your hubby's driving record is shared among insuance companies. It's just that some companies are not as strict as others. Get online and get quotes from multiple companies. |

You're going to have to switch companies. Expect to have a HUGE increase in your rates.
What you should do is have a chat with your husband about how his bad driving habits are costing the family money as well. I doubt he knows that just one ticket can raise your rates over 30%. He is being irresponsible and it's costing you both dearly.
Also, you should have hired an attorney to represent you in court because they can usually keep the ticket off your record- even if you have to pay the fine. If he gets another ticket, make him get his own policy, so he knows just how much his recklessness is costing. |

If the insurer does drop hubby, you'll have to exclude him from your policy and take out a non-standard (high-risk) policy on him. Problem is, most lessors want higher limits for liability than a non-standard company will write; you'll have to ask the agent/company about that.
Many standard companies have an alternative, higher-priced company that might take him for a couple of years while his record clears up; you might ask about that. Or, you could just put both on the high-risk policy for the period, but that will be expensive. |

You must find a company willing to cover you both. There are companies that insure high risk drivers you just have to find them. I would try the website below. There are a lot of good companies that may cover the both if you. If you don't maintain coverage on the leased vehicles they may could get a repo. |

You can call your insurance company and sign a form excluding him from coverage on your car. If he then drives your car and has an accident there will not be insurance coverage. You will have to pay damages out of pocket and could be in legal trouble. |
