yes it is if its untaxed the insurance is invalid report it to the police you get a fine |

The only time you can drive an untaxed vehicle on the road is to or from an MOT station after testing.
Having no tax does not invalidate the insurance, despite what people may think. |

Go to the DVLA website, you can report it there. If its not taxed its probably not insured or MOTd so if they hit your car you are stuffed. |

Yes, it is illegal, unless the car is going or coming from an MOT |

Tells you what to do on here :- http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Motoring/OwningAVehicle/UntaxedVehicle/DG_4022073. It does not necessarily mean the insurance is invalid, the main concern of the insurers is that the vehicle's roadworthy. |

If the car is untaxed then it is on the road illegally. I believe the insurance would still be valid (for that particular car) but you can only drive it in order to have your car MOT'd (which was pre-arrranged) or a pre-arranged Vehicle Inspection Check (VIC).
So, to drive a car without following the advice above would put you into some serious bother but I don't know what those would be.....possibly points and a fine......perhaps. |

Yes and holds a fine from DVLA in Swansea and it is them you go to to report it they will check it out by reg number and then fine the person.
If the police found out it is fine and points.
yes it does make your insurance invalid. |

Yes it is, it is even illegal to not display the disc, so if you are taxed and do not have the disc in the window, you will get failing to display, this will happen even if you are in a car park, (where there are wardens), if you have an accident, I believe the insurance would be invalid, if the police prosecute for no insurance, it 5 - 9 points and probably £500 - £1000 fine. Hope this helps. |

Hi there yes any vehicle thats on the road (unless exepmt) must display a valid vehicle excise disc, if it doesnt have on then it should be declared as sorn and certainly not driven as this as you quite rightly say makes any insurance null and void. You can inform yor local council and the police who should remove the vehicle and hold it for a set period in a compound before crushing the vehicle |

Call the cops. If the state issued tax sticker is expired,in most states the driver will face a hefty fine and possibly get the car towed leaving the driver stranded. |
