Its a device you plug in your car that can increase or decrease your insurance premium based on the way you drive. Is this a government trap thing or is it harmless?

It is just another way for "Big Brother" to have control of you and of your life. I would NEVER use it....NEVER ! Obummer will soon have control of about 75% of you. This would add another big percentage |

What the program does is allow the insurance company to record information about vehicle speed, usage, and even the rate of braking and acceleration. It also tracks the miles that the car is driven, the time of day that it is driven and other information.
What it does is let the insurance company (and others) spy on your habits. I see nothing good about allowing more personal information to be collected. I would not allow such a device on my vehicles. |

Well, if you don't drive much then it APPEARS it might save you money if you don't mind an insurance company collecting information about your driving habits. According to the article below Progressive won't raise your rates based on the information provided by the device, but they may offer you a discount. So besides the $30 every six month fee it may be worth your while to give it a try. Keep in mind this program is not available in every state and since it is new it's unlikely you'll be able to find anyone to give you any advice about it. |
