How come you can't add it to your policy that runs out on Monday? Alternatively you can get day insurance where you just pay by the day - look up day insure :-) Otherwise yes, it is illegal - if your handbrake failed and it rolled off and hit something/someone, you would be liable to pay. |

It is illegal to have a car on the public highway id it is not taxed and does not have third party insurance and if over 3 years old current MOT certificate. Contact your insurer who will give you a cover note for your new car enabling you to tax it provided you have a current MOT certificate if the car is over three years old |

Yes, as long as it is on public property then it needs to be insured, even if it is only third party cover. |
