Nope, it's illegal to drive without insurance. Many insurance companies will not cover if someone else is driving, so don't just assume that his will. You would both be breaking the law, him by allowing you to drive and you by doing it. |

dEPENDS IF YOU HAVE YOUR OWN INSURANCE THAT ALLOWS YOU TO DRIVE ANY CAR WITH THE OWNERS PERMISSION - CHECK WITH YOUR INSURERS |

Auto Insurance follows the vehicle as primary and the driver as secondary.
That would be up to his and/or your insurance company. Most policies have a "permissive user" clause. This means that the insured can give someone permission to TEMPORARILY drive their vehicle without putting that person on their insurance and the vehicle would still be fully covered in the event of an accident.
If you are taking the car over and having full care, custody and control of the vehicle on a REGULAR basis then you need to A. Have you added to his policy based on his policy rules. B. Have the car added to your policy if the car is going to be registered in your name as only or co-owner on the title.
While these are things that an insurance company certainly can't know for certain all the time. However, if you violate the rules of the policy and they find out, the policy can be canceled or non renewed. |

If you are fully comp on your insurance for your own car then you can drive your boyfriends car with his permission. You would only be covered by third party while driving though. However if yo don't have an insurence then it is illegal for you to drive his car. |

I think it's usually ok, unless you are named as someone who cannot drive the car. |

No it's not illegal. As long as you have insurance for your car then yours will cover it. However if you do not have insurance his insurance should still pay for it if he has full coverage. |

Yes its legal as long as you have a license, but depending on their insurance policy you might not be covered in the event of an accident. |

His insurance should cover you, if he lends you the car. |

In Wisconsin and New Hampshire, it it legal to drive without insurance, so it is legal in those states for both of you to drive without insurance. But the insurance companies have laws too, and if you have an accident, I would say you would have to pay if his policy states that he alone is covered. |

It's legal but it's not smart to. |

If you have insurance on a vehicle of your own, it may or may not cover you while driving his vehicle (for instance, some high-risk policies may only cover you while driving the specified vehicle, unless certain conditions are met - like your car is in the shop).
Likewise, his insurance may or may not cover you while driving his car - many insurance policies are written to cover only specified drivers.
If neither policy would cover you, then you would be uninsured, and it would be illegal to drive (at least in all U.S. states that I know of ).
If you can't find the insurance policy(s), or can't figure it out, the insurance agent should be able to tell you. |

It would depend on your boyfriend's insurance policy or your own. |

As long as the vehicle is insuranced and the driver has a license then its legal.. however if there should be a accident and the person driving isn't listed on the policy your own your paying for the damages. |

Your name doesn't have to be on his insurance, but he has to cover someone your age. For example, our policy doesn't cover anyone under age 25. My brother and sister both have wrecked our cars, but because they were over 25 it was covered. |

it is legal for a licensed driver to drive an insured car in ALL states. the insurance is on the CAR not the person. it is only when RENTING a car that they want to list all people who are authorized to drive the car |
|

yeah, you can, all insurance policies have a clause stating that another person can drive it, however, it is still he's fault if you get in a crash. |

TalkingDonkey

Yes. If you are a licensed driver and he gives you permission the drive the vehicle you are covered |
