I'm off out for a drink with one of my former pupils tonight and I do keep in touch with several of my old pupils.
In the same way as the pupils sometimes miss their instructor, I do sometimes miss my pupils....mind you, my aim is getting better!!! ;o)

If you enjoyed being around somebody, it is always normal if you miss them. I'm a bit confused, what exactly did you think was wrong? This is the kind of experience people are having 100 times a day all over the world, and if we all questioned whether it was normal every time it happened, we'd all lose our minds.
Don't worry. Normality is overrated anyway.

I didn't miss mine - he was HORRIBLE :)
I own a UK driving school myself now though, and we have a Facebook group which many of our pupils and former pupils have joined :)
It's nice (and rather humbling) that people want to keep in touch and tell us how they're getting on, even though our part in their lives is over and done with...
So, based on that, if you and your instructor got on well, then missing them seems pretty normal to me :)

Me and my instructor chatted a lot about stuff and it was always a laugh. I guess I miss that, learning to drive was quite fun also so maybe I do miss my instructor a bit. I guess because you and your instructor have worked together to get a pass through your test It is a bit sad to say, "well that's it". |
