thinking of saving to buy a car I want but its the insurence that i cant afford not the car :( as it has a 5l v8 and I am a 20 year old guy any ways of knocking it down a bit any tips or any cheap companies

If you're only a 20yr old guy....they tend to discriminate and therefore I can imagine that no matter which insurance company you go with, it will be ridiculously expensive.

When you turn 21 they tend to knock your price down and also when you've had your license for 3 or 5years...I can't remember which. I'd suggest waiting until then before you buy the car...no point having the car there if you can't drive it.

You would need to accept a very high excess. Other than that not much you can do as you are in a high risk group due to your age which you cannot do anything about.
Unfortunately you are paying for the accidents of a lot of your peers who cannot seem to keep a 1.0 Corsa going the right way for long!
