To insure a Bugatti for daily use, incorporating all the levels of insurance necessary would be incredibly expensive on a per annum basis. I take it your asking about the Veyron or whatever it's called. You would be expected to pay the absolute maximum for collision, liability and theft. You would also be expected to pay for an absolution indemnity that would void your insurance should the vehicle be damaged due to neglect or disregard on your part. This would include any damage incurred from daily driving that harms the vehicle, such as driving within the parameters of local road laws, when the vehicle is designed and manufactured in accordance with performance driving. This means if you drive in second gear all the time because that's the only gear you can keep the car within the speed limits, and that causes damage to your incredibly expensive gearbox, then that's your fault, and will not be claimed either under warranty or insurance, unless you pay to insure it under those conditions, which will cost nearly as much as the gearbox itself. better to get yourself a Racing licence. To acquire one of these you will have to take lessons and be graded on your performance when you're tested. Once you've acquired one of these, you will then go through a series of class upgrades, which will make you a better street driver as well, which will lower your standard issue insurance, since you'd be able to prove that you have extreme driving conditions training and practical ability. Once you have acheived a significant amount of experience, you will then be able to take your Bugatti out on a closed circuit and really put it through it's paces, although I doubt you'll find anywhere, except a speedway oval or the old Nurburing track, where you would have suitable space to really unleash the car to it's full potential. I believe the car is capable of some 250mph, or as the French would say 400kph. Your insurance on the vehicle would still be substantial, but should something go wrong, at least a medical team would be on hand to spray your remains off the track surface so as others behind you wouldn't lose their tyre grip, and thus damage their expensive automobiles. Hope that helps. |

Sure, if you have a big enough pile of money. |

I wouldn't think the owners of the Veyron would have any trouble getting their vehicle insured -- though they may have to have a $250,000.00 collision deductible. |

If you can afford the car, you'll be able to afford the insurance. Bear in mind, the sort of person who'll buy the Veyron will hardly ever actually drive it & will no doubt have a garage full of Ferraris, Lamborghinis & possibly a vintage Bugatti or two, so another few grand a year won't make any difference. |

Hello,
www.123.ie will insure any car for €900 but the excess can be up to €2500 meaning in the event of an accident you pay the first €2500 of any incident. This information is only useful if your Irish though as 123.ie is Irish. However you could try your current insurance company or new company that you wish to be with, will they allow a bigger excess and there fore reduce there risk and your premium but increase the excess.
Hope this helps.. |
