I made an appointment to one of the DMVs and all my friends are saying that the one i picked is really hard to pass.
Is it true that some DMV's are harder than other DMV's?
It's so annoying and confusing. :(

well its 2 things, depends on the state because some states are more strict, and also depends on the person giving the test, some are a little more easy and others are a**holes |

Well, there's statistics somewhere (search the Net) which shows percentage of people passing driving test on the first try at different DMVs.
So, if 75% pass at this DMV and 50% pass at that one... what does it mean? You decide. |

It's not really the DMV. It's usually either the area that it's in that makes it really hard (like a busy city vs. town) or the specific person. Your tester decides how hard the test is with what he makes you do and what roads you go down (the test isn't a specific route, the tester picks a different combination of basically the same roads each time). Considering the fact that getting a license is way to easy . So what if the test is harder. If you fail your not ready to drive. If you pass you can be proud that you passed the harder test. |

It not only varies on the DMV, but also who your instructor is and your state's laws. When I passed my test, it was because my instructor was the easiest one in the department. My other friends got the harder testers. It varies widely. |
