I have nationwide insurance & a red car.. my insurance did not go up because of the color but the fact that it is a brand new car so no..I don't know where people get that idea haha~

as a random side note: It IS true that they get pulled over more though, i get stopped a lot more with my red car than my old ones that were not & my driving hasn't changed, I've had a few friends say the same thing..

No. The color of your car makes no difference at all in the price you pay for insurance.

I doubt it. My insurance company never asked and still don't know what color my car is.

I think it is a safe bet to say that they do cost more. And although I've never had the statistics in my hands, I've "always" heard that people who buy red cars are statistically more likely to drive in a fashion that can be more expensive for the insurance companies.
