if you have fully comprehensive insurance on your car, you are insured to drive any other car you have a licence to drive and with the owners permission under third party insurance
but check your policy for conditions |

Such policies are called driver policies and are very expensive or have very high excesses. They are usually negotiated on an individual basis based upon the highest risk, very similar to motor traders policies. There is very low demand for such policies and the industry questions why there is any need for them, hence the loading. |

Yes of course. Most fully comprehensive policies insure you to drive any other car third party, as long as you have the owners permission to drive it. Double check your certificate first though as it's not 100% guarunteed. |

the non owners policy is a great way to go if you dont have a vehicle of my own. I had this before I got my car only due to having to have an sr-22. My payment was only like $60 a month for this and when i got my car i just changed it and didnt have to repay the deposit. |

Yes, it's called a non-owners policy. They're not that expensive. It's only for liability, uninsured motorist and medical payments. The only thing is you cannot be a titled owner of any vehicle |

I don't know about the insurance, but most states have a limit on how many cars an individual can buy and sell each year without a dealers license. |
