i know it sounds silly but ive got my test in 6 weeks but ive seen a car i really like. i dont want someone else to buy it but ive heard that you can really hate a car after a test drive

Yes you can drive it IF the seller has it insured for provisional license holder AND he puts L plates on it AND he is ok to be the qualified driver to sit with you. Get your dad to test it! |

Well if you haven't passed your test, then you must get somebody with a full license to do your test drive for you. |

yes go on some private land and drive it on private land you are OK to drive it is illegal to drive on a public highway without the relevant insurances but if the person is insured it can be done that way as well Dave |

no. you have to have a license. unless it's a private car and the person selling it doesn't mind taking the chance. but even just having you drive it without a license is a liability to them. |

If you know anyone with a country estate you are ok on private land, but don`t think the seller would allow it without a current licence. |

I have test drove a few cars and most garages dont even ask to see your licence. They may ask for the keys to your car, just remember to take a set with you. Also if you have an accident while your out in the car you in the brown smelly stuff.
Maybe get someone else to take it on a test, go with them take it to a quiet road and raz it round. |
