I have it in my moms name, its much much cheaper...... I've had it in my moms name for 10 years welcome news, now what? It should cost less, since it is two (or more) cars on the same policy and may also get a home owners insurance discount. You do already have the Defensive Driving and every other one you can get, right? |

It is still quite expensive being a named driver on a parent's insurance policy but may be cheaper than buying your own car.
If your 'friends' have insured their own car in their parent's names then I would strongly advise against it. In fact I suggest you do a little research and tell them the results. |
