Since you did hit her car, and you did cause damage, your liability coverage will be primary. It could be that she has had too many things going on, and if it was only minor damage, she probably didn't mind it so much.

Even though it has been three months, you are still responsible for the damages. How much was the estimate? If you file with your insurance, if damages are under $1000, you won't be hit with a surcharge. If they were, you will get a 10% increase at your next renewal.

I would want to look at the damage myself since it has been 3 months, then contact your insurance company. They should know what your liability is after that amount of time has passed. There should be a statute of limitations on something like that. Obviously it's not that important to her since it took her so long to contact you.

And she could have gotten drunk last week and backed her car into a tree, and since you have no record of the damage you caused in January, you don't have a leg to stand on. You need to contact your insurance company.

you can still report it to your insurance company. they will give you a slap on the wrist for late report. does the estimate seem in line with damages caused? you may want to pay out of pocket. if it seems too high, report it to your insurance company. also, if the other party already repaired her vehicle, your insurance company may pay nothing. they have a right to inspect. but this varies from company to company.

What does it matter how long its been? You still caused the damage to her car right? Yes you/your insurance is liable to cover the cost of repairs.

You should have called your ins company asap to notify of them of the loss. If you haven't done so yet, do it now!

well there is the problem first you hit and run and you dont have a roport from the cops so you dont have any ideal of what damage you done for sure .... you have to pay you hit car and really dont think the insuance wil pay for it but they might.....leaving the note was nice of you but you should have call the cop and had a report made maybe she as been hit again and the car is in worse shape now and its going to cost you more she can say about any thing she wants and you get it just becasue you didnt have time to wait ... . think about it you hit and run ... was not a smart thing to do... turn it in to the insuance will be tough
