if he sent the v5 off ,you will have to wait till it comes back then send it off to swansea in your sons name. But the car will have the extra keeper, this will not be to bad if you son lives at home with you, as it will show the same address this is regarded as passing the car down in the family or you could try ringing the dvla and telling them what happened but knowing what the dvla are like this could take forever hope this helps |

you have to send the registered owner form to the DVLA with your son's name on. and they will do the rest.
i dont think it costs anything. make the changes and send off.

Wait for the certificate to arrive and then put your son's name on it with a letter explaining to the DVLA of the mistake, that way it won't affect the number of keepers.

You just need to wait for the V5 form to come back and then re register the car in your sons name, the down point is though that the car will appear to have 1 owner more on the documents, but should not be an issue unless it is a newish car! If this is the case contact the DVLA and ask them to change the details before they send the V5 back, I am not too sure whether this is possible though, another option is that when they return the V5 just contact them and tell them that the details on the form is incorrect and that you sons name, is the owner of the car. |

change the name ove to your son,fillin part on tax book that the name of that the car is going to be in.

If you ask the DVLA themselves, they are much more likely to know the answer than any of us! After all, it's they who issue the registration documents. Just follow this this link:
