Just had a small fender bender, we did not switch insurance cards, am I in the clear?

I think he could report you, but it seems like he won't. Judging by the fact that he said it was a small deal, I highly doubt that he will do anything about it. As long as there's no real damage to either the car or people, I think that you should be fine.

Ouch. You better hope he doesn't report you as a "hit & run". No matter how small any accident is you need to swap insurance info & personal info. Hopefully the guy you hit is an honest person. Good luck!

I DID THE SAME THING AND 2 YEARS LATER THE LADY TRIED TO SUE ME, SAYING SHE HURT HER NECK IN THE ACCIDENT. YOU BETTER HOPE TO GOD HE DOES NOT CALL THE COPS OR HIS INSURANCE CO. ALWAYS HAVE YOUR INSURANCE CARD WITH YOU AND ALWAYS TRADE INFO IF THAT HAPPENS AGAIN.

If he got your license plate number, he might still be able to report it, but since he said he didn't think it was a big deal it sounds like he is going to just let it go.

Yes, he can and may still report it. You are covered but you should Notify your insurance company in case he makes a claim. If he makes no claim, your insurance company will do nothing. If he does, they will represent you. You have nothing to lose either way

You are in the clear! In the future, you should iimmediately call 911, the police should do a complete police report and you should mmediately call your insurance complaint too! Please remember that for future reference! It is too late now, but learn from your mistakes!

Call your ins. agent and tell them the other car left the scene...that will help you clear yourself....next time call the police.

Worst thing that can happen is he records your license plate, calls the cops, if it's over $500 damage you may have committed a crime. 1 month from now he claims a back injury resulting from the crash, sues your parents, and they lose their house.

About six months ago, I was involved in a fender bender in a convenience store parking lot, neither one of us were in designated prking spaces. I backed out as she was pulling in and there was approx. $800 damage to her car. we exchanged ins info no one admitted fault, the police were not called. I learned when I called my ins. co my policy had been out of force for 2 days. The other ins. co. is threatening to sue me, has made several offers for lesser amounts. They have sent me at least 10 letters and many calls which I have not responded. I have ignored them since no one admitted fault, and i think we were equally at fault. There were no witnesses, I am so confused about what to do and the last letter said I had to dispute the validity within 30 days, I did. help, can they take me to court? The lady was happy go lucky after the accident and we talked about the fact that we were both wrong. Help, hurry please?
