I just moved down to Florida on Dec 29th registered my car and all of that fun stuff. However i hadn't put my new plates on yet i got pulled over today and recieved a violation of 316.605.1 what im trying to figure out is if you have 30 days to change your plates from the old to the new one and if so how do you go about getting the ticket revoked

you will have to just go to court, if you haven't been here 30 days the judge should throw it out of court ,its only been 3 weeks so you will win, state law supersedes local law, ive been here for ( in florida ) for 10 years, its alot easier to do winter where theres no snow, as im a one legged ol coot |

Go get the new tags on your car. Then take it (the ticket) to the court house and show them your receipt from the Florida county clerks office. They will clear the ticket. I had to do that as well when I moved to Florida. |
