Lost Certificate of Motor Insurance?

I have lost my Cerificate of Motor Insurance & cannot find it anywhere. I have notified my insurers & they have acknowledged this, is there anyway that someone can use my document for fraudulent usage. I am quite concerned about it. Thanks & Happy New Year.

That is it, I am telling the whole truth. I was just really concerned about it.

Sure the could use it, but it would not hurt you in any way. A person could just as easily create one on a computer and pass it off as the real thing which would be easier then using a stolen one. The name on the card would also have to match the name of the driver license of the person using the card.
I would not worry, the chance that someone would try and use your insurance card would be very low since there is nothing in it for them. |

you cert covers you and your car, so unless someone is stealing your identity their is not much they would be able to do with it. Make sure you get your insurers to send you a new copy though |

You have no problem as it only relates to your particular car. If it does get used for any nefarious purpose then having informed your insurers there will be no come back on you. |
