They are closed all weekend, now today is Sunday and i start work .
I need a car to get on the job. My mom left a message telling her to put me back on.
IF i were to get pulled over or in an accident would I be coverd on the insurance
being that we left them a message?

If you're not added and have no proof...how is anyone supposed to know. Just tell the cop you left a message with the agent, he/she should let you go based off trust....

sorry, a phone call is not enough. even faxing a signed letter of intent is really not binding, but it's better. I assume your mom has by now called the agent |

Obliviously, you should have called and had the car insured on FRIDAY, when an office was open.
Now you have NO insurance, there is no way in hell they will insure you based on a message on the answering machine. |

Did you ever take the car OFF the policy? If you didn't, it's still on and you're covered. If you did, any "newly acquired" vehicle is automatically covered for at least 30 days, so you're OK until you can call the agent on Monday. If you have an insurance ID card showing your car, keep it with you. |

For car insurance the most efficient way to get a good rate is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make certain that you compare similar policies with the same limits, auto make, location, etc so that all things are a good comparison.
