A friend of mine was backing out of his driveway and hit my car that was parked on the street, damaging it about $1100. He has full coverage on his car that is a lease in his mothers name, not his own. I only have basic PLPD on my car. What is the best way of going about this? Clearly I think settling it without the insurance companies would be ideal. However, I just would like to know what my rights are and what I can expect if this isn't an option. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

yeah the insurance is the right thing but, your parents will find out, for a few reason their premiums will go up. Oh and if you person who the insurance belong to was not the one driving the insurance might not make themselves responsible so you will have as your friend mom to make her self responsible for the crush, of course that wil go on her record, for the next three years. |
