Declare it. In my experience Insurance companies will try anything so as not to pay out. If it is not necessary still give them the chance to ignore it. Why not ring up and ask them to be sure. |

To be on the safeside you should,it probably will not affect your premium,
I got a speeding conviction,and my premium stayed the same.
Some Insurance companies will look for any excuse not to pay out. |

No I got caught for the same thing a few years ago and the policeman said it would not show as penalty points and I would not have to declare it to insurer's .
Actually he was doing me a favour because I had gone through a set of pedestrian crossing lights and I fully expected and deserved to be done goodstyle. So I got hit in the pocket and my ears bent back.
