and thy won't give her a new one cause they don't believe she's who we say she is! we gave them, Birth-cert, Bills, copy of marriage lic, ssn. and her license was on file but it had no pic so they said she needs a pic ID well you can't get a pic ID unless she has her license.(duh!)
What do we do now? Thanks a bunch!

well to give more detail, my mom's license was stolen, used by the person who stole it for a long time because they didn't believe my mom when she said it was stolen since she had no proof of ID. They stole her whole purse which had all her Importent INFO in it.
The pass port thing would've worked if we had the time but she is having surgery on the 28th in Mexico.and we were in a really big hurry! any way we went to the office (DMV) and they gave it to her cause the guy felt bad for her.( I think its because were Mennonite and everyone always think we are Amish. so they think we are dumb or something I guess.) But anyway Thanks for the advice :-) Just so others know what we had to do, She had to take the following to the DMV. Birth-certi,marriage license, bills, Taxes, SSN.

This really sounds idiotic, but it is often a lesson in futility to "fight city hall". If she has a passport, that should be positive ID. And she can get a passport without a photo ID.
Could the problem stem in part because of the 10 year period? And did she literally lose the license -- fell out of her wallet, etc -- or did she lose it via failure to renew or via suspension or revocation? In any event, I suspect the 10 year period is a problem. |

you can apply for a new one the normal way but she will have to do a driven test, or get a pass port you don't need a driven license for that |
