Me and my boyfriend have been dating for 6 months and when we fight he is constantly trying to make everything my fault and bring me down so much that is causes me to apologize for what he did just so the fighting will stop. and when he makes me cry so hard i can't breathe he apologizes and says he can't handle it when i cry, that it breaks his heart and that he can't believe what he does and that he will change. and i love him so much, i love him with everything i have and more!! that's why i haven't left him, thats why i put up with it. but then, when i try to confront him about it, he calls me a liar. i trust him more than anyone else and he is ALWAYS telling me that he can't trust me at all. when i lied to him once before we even started dating. and this relationship is long distance too, so it makes everything so much harder. and our relationship i feel, is going downhill and i'm going back home to him in a week and i'm scared nothing will be the way it was before i left. i just need some advice on how to deal with everything that's going on. is there something wrong with me? am i doing something wrong? or is it him? or both of us? i just don't know what to do anymore.

i have no idea how it got in the insurance section, sorry. i guess i hit a buttin or something.
But the thing is, he only acts that way when we fight, otherwise he is a completely different person. he's sooo sweet to me and when we fight i feel like i don't even know who he is. he does have anger issues. he's also a Capricorn. which explains the jealousy he has, i don't want to change him, i just want to help him to see and realize how what he does affects me.. i just don't see how i can do that when he won't listen. the only time he listens to me is when i yell and tell him to let me talk. we're both stubborn and have tempers. but i get super emotional. and when we are together physically, everything bad thats ever happened between us disappears. its all just so confusing. and he's not my first love either. so i kinda know whats going on. i just need tips.

I'm pretty sure being away from one another changed the attitude and closure the both of you had with each other. Maybe now that your going back home things will be different. Don't leave him. Being away from him probably made him think you were being unfaithful to him (resulting in the him trusting you issue) or you think that he didn't care for you when in reality you guys just needed to be closer to each other. Don't give up, if you love him as much as you say you do, you'll give it another try to stay with your boyfriend. |

Honey, that is a man you don't need. Trust me, it will only get worse. I know that first hand, I made the mistake of marrying someone like that...biggest mistake of my life. If someone truly loves you, they would never, ever treat you like that, bottom line.

This is a very typical pattern for relationships - this is typical for men to do to women to get control.
Basically, you have surrendered to him and are allowing him to dominate you.
The part about blaming each other is very common - that's what couples do. But when he blames you for things you know you didn't do, he's just being a cold manipulative person.
I guess you have to decide if you want to spend more of your life with a person and years down the road get so tired or abused that you leave, or are you goint to do it right now.
