He keeps coming up to me saying "I have a car! I can drive!!!!!" In an annoying sing-song voice. Besides the price of gas, what are some down sides to having a car? (I am 13, so he will probably be doing this for 3 more years!!) So, How can I stop him? What are down sides to having a car besides the price of gas?

well, there's the fact that everything costs. Insurance, registration, tickets, maintenance, etc. All you have to do is get a ride and thats free |

Ask him to drive you to the mall, but remind him that mom or dad will have to come along. That should take some of the wind out of him. |

Ignore him, he's just happy that he has a car. You should be proud of him that he can drive. |

just wait til he gets into a fender bender or a ticket. or if he doesnt pass the driving exam. then sing a song of your own. your 13 there isnt anything else you can really do |

Look at the bright side you can always hang something over his head to get him to take you where you would like to go. ; ) Having a car isn't the greatest thing... it means you're growing up and growing up consists of a lot of responsibility. Enjoy being young while you still are because I miss being young living at home with my parents. |
