My car got hit on the passenger side fri night in a parking lot but I didn't notice it til the next day?!?

Just call your insurance company today and tell them what happened. On passenger side damage, it's quite common to NOT notice the damage for days!

You will need a police report first and tell them it just got hit and give it to your insurance company.

I would report the accident to the insurer. The insurer will want an estimate. Some insurers expect 2 or 3 estimates! I would make it plain and simple to the insurer that you want this fixed within 60 days. Insurers have no sense of loyalty to its customers. If you have been with the insurer 6 months or 26 years, they treat all insureds as a liability when they have a claim. Be alert to the multiple estimates requirement by your "friendly agent." I am not a fan of altering the story to have the accident happen at work. If you tell the truth then you will remember the facts.

Find out how much it will cost to fix. Your insurance might have a minimum excess you have to pay and you might also lose a year's no claim bonus. If the damage is minor, it may be better to pay for it yourself.

your best bet is too report the fender bender and where it happen right away so you can get it fixed asap.well i think you should report it soon as it happen or as soon as you found that your car got hit.If it happen at your work and it was at night then there would be no way for you too see this in a dark parking lot. just tell them the truth and it will come out good. I think, yes you can get. To me, it sounds a hit and run incident though you were not there. However, you have to talk to the insurance company and see what they say.By law, an accident MUST be reported to the police, if it is classified so, see what insurance company says. But do check what is the damage with some mechanic before starting this procedure if it is worth it, because your insurance company might have an excess on your policy which may be more than the cost of your damage. In that case, you will end up paying the insurance company from your own pocket and losing your no claim bonus, if you have some.

This HAS to be reported to the police as a hit and run BEFORE you report it to the insurer. This will be paid under your collision coverage so I would get an estimate prior to reporting just to see if the damage exceeds the deductible/excess.
