I just got my car painted 3 months ago and it got vandalized yesterday(scratched drivers door). I didnt get to register the new color to my dmv. so will i still be able to file my claim?

(In the USA) Yes, you can file a claim.... I never heard of having to "register" a new color. |

Why would you register the color to the DMV?
As far as filing a claim, it would be up to your insurance company. What's your deductible? Did you file a police report? If it's not a really deep scratch, like down to the metal, you should be able to go and buy touch up paint and touch it up. |

give it a try and inform them of the colour change. if it is only paint work try and do the repairs yourself! |
