I mean me as a person? they didi knock on my door this morning and left notice in my name not the company name.

You need to point this out to them. They of course are trying it on.
THE LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE COMPANY!
Tell them you will have them in the courts for harassment! |

The status of Limited Company only protects personal assets in the event of insolvency.
It offers no protection whatsoever for any illegal activity, which evading parking fines is.
The parking fine should be in the name of the driver, not the company. |

If you are the registered keeper with the DVLA, which you are required to be by law, you pay the parking fines. If you are not on the V5 you are liable to a maximum fine of £1000. And you will still owe the parking fines. Pay the fines asap before it gets worse, which it will. |

Whoever writes the checks for this unlimited company, which is usually the owner, not the book keeper is ultimately responsible. Just because you limitied the stattes of being sued by and individual, does not exempt you from the Gov getting thier tickets paid. Trying to dodge this shows your business ethics. Id be ashamed of myself if I were you! |

no the debt is owed by the registered keeper of the vehicle, or the person named by the registered keeper as the person responsible for the car.
however if your company has told the authorities that you were responsible for the vehicle on the days in question then it is a debt owed by you, unless you can prove otherwise. ie you would have to prove that person X was driving the car that day, or at the time the offence was committed. if you can do that then the fine is oiwed by the registered keeper, or person X. however you have to be very very specific and have evidence to prove that it wasn't you. you can just say, oh well it was someone from the sales office*
*unless of course you are a football club like Man Utd who have used the blanket vague defnece on several occasions |

I always thought that if you were a limited company then your private life is protected - ie. if your company owes money then they cannot take your house away. So I would have thought that if the car was registered to your company, you cannot personally be liable for the fines.
I should imagine that they could take your car and impound it until the fine is paid.
I would just pay the fine...you will lose out in the end. |

Yes. If you are the director and also a major share holder in this company Or simply they will tow away your car and sell this car and get their money Do not mess around with this type of fines If you act in time then you might have escaped all this problem Good luck |
