Of course it's legal. It isn't your car yet, it belongs to the finance company until paid for. Miss a payment and they can send a signal to the car to not start the next time it's turned off, until the payment is made. Don't make the payment, and they will know exactly where it is so the tow truck can pick it up.
Want to get the GPS off? No problem, pay the loan off. Oh, if you're thinking find it and destroy it, that sends a signal too and violates your agreement. |

Yes it is legal , after all they are considering their loss if the car is stolen, and your insurance company may give a discount if you inform them of this |
