My car registration got suspended now what?

I took my car insurance off because it was to much money so the insurance company sent a letter to the DMV telling them I don't have insurance anymore so the DMV cancel my registration. My question is what happens if the police stops me will they just give me a ticket or will they take my car away?

Depends on what state you are in. I would call your DMV to find out. It is very likely you will get a ticket and get your car impounded. Much more expensive than insurance. Sell your car and take the bus. |

They will tow the vehicle.
Your best bet is to find a company that will back date your insurance to stop the state from canceling your registration.

They will suspend your license and take your car. Insurance is not something you have a choice about. It is part of being grown up the rest of us afford it so you should also, if you can not then walk or ride a bus because your sure not mature enough to drive. |

Most likely they will arrest you. It against the law to drive with out insurance and registration, which means your car will also be towed. Call 1-800-723-3288 it SAFE AUTO. they have insurance for less. |

No clue what state your in, but in most states, the police can impound your car for driving without insurance or registration. Also, if you were to get in an accident, you will get sued for every single dollar you have, and they'll take your car away in the bankruptcy most likely. Good luck! |

i think you could get your license suspended if you get caught. believe me it's not worth it! you can't not have car insurance! look around, there might be a different company thats cheaper. get quotes from couple different companies, and get your car insurance back! i know that not having insurance and getting caught means a lotttt of trouble, more than just a stupid little ticket that you can pay with a fine. i know its expensive, but its not something thats optional! |
