my car got robbed last night its an 06 focus my neighbor was telling me my insurance is going to go ski high if i claim off my insurance, at the moment my insurance is 65euros a month has any body got any idea how much more it would go up? as i dont see anything else i can do

A lot depends on the no claims bonus scale that your insurance company has and if you have a protected bonus.
You will be out of pocket for the theft excess on the policy in any case but this should not be too high compared to the value of the vehicle.
To work out the estimated cost, look at your premium and the percentage no claims bonus you have and the percentage no claims bonus you will have if and if not you claim.
To use a UK example - if you are paying £400 on a 60% bonus and the bonus goes back to 40%, then 50% you find that you will be paying £600 and £500 instead of £400 and £400 - so the extra you pay is 75% of the current premium over two years. If you are on, say 40% then you pay a more (1000, 700, 600, 500, 400 instead of 500,400,400,400,400) (£1100 over 4 years)
The figures above assume no other claims occur and that your basic premium would remain unaltered over the next 3 - 5 years |

If you mean your car was stolen then your insurance should cover that eventuality. That is one of the reasons we have motor insurances. Yes your premiums will increase, everyones does. |

d'you mean your car was stolen? if yes it should be covered if fully comp, or third party fire and THEFT. contact your insurance Co and the police to get a crime number |

your insurance rates wont go up if someone took stuff out of you car, did you mean they took the car? even then i dont know why it would go up because you did not do anything to cause it, i think as long as you have the police report and stuff you will be ok |
