im sure you can still report it, just give the license plate number, plus if you have a current or an old copy of a registration card or insurance card they will have the VIN number on them and license plate number to, im sure the cops could look up the license plate number and somehow find the VIN number |

do you have a copy of registration or insurance papers? the VIN should be on either of those. |

you get the numbers from the dvm.
sometimes, depending on you county, the sheriff department ( or any deputy) has access to this info if the dmv is closed (holiday/weekend.)
also, some insurance companies put the vin number on the paper work that you have. |

You don't need the vin# to report it only the plate #. Police can run the vin. Call them, report it and then call your insurance carrier. |
