was she driving and you're asking if shes covered? if she does not live with you and was driving your car with permission, your policy will cover her. if she lives with you and you did not list her as a driver, the insurance company CAN deny the claim. most likely, they would cover it and then require her to be added as a driver if she lives with you. if you are asking about her being a passenger and having injuries, then yes, your policy will cover her if you have medical on your policy. since it was the other persons fault, THEIR insurance should be paying the claim.

you should ask your insurance agent. some insurance companies allow any driver to be covered in any insured vehicle w/ the vehicle owner's permission.

i am truly amazed @ some people who ask questions like yours, when the question should be asked to the experts. laws and regulations vary from state to state. if you think i am not telling the truth about this part, read the answers you have gotten. you even had a guy from canada chime in w/ an answer.

Call your insurance company. Who else would really know the answer about your specific policy? Just be glad that your daughter is OK.

For injuries? Only if she had her permit.

Otherwise if it is your car, it's in your name. It's as if it were you in the car, your fault or their's.

So, if you're worried about damages, yes, you are covered.

Your and the othear parties' insurance companies will conduct something called subrogation where the party at fault is found and the insurance company of that person will pay for the other person's damage including their deductible.

If your daughter is not on your policy, your policy will cover you (in Canada anyhow). The accident will go to your daughter's record since her liscence connects to her not you. A claim is a claim no matter whose fault it is. The no fault law is crazy. The only time fault matters is for suing. Your insurance will fix your car like it was you in the accident.

in most cases anyone that drive the car will be coverd... people dont have insurance the cars do

Not if she was driving it and she is not assured under her own name. I would not tell anyone else about this because if she wasn't insured and she was driving she was breaking the law... So you just got away!!! Hope your daughter's fine and have a Happy New Year.
