yes you cant drive on the expiration date. but you should be receiving a new one before that date and its your responsibilities to inform/call the DMV if you havent receive it yet. they can issue you a temporary driving permit while waiting for your license in mail. |

It means you have 48 hours to renew it with an open book written test (open in most states) and not worrk about it. OR - not get pulled over til you do... My record 5 years, only 3 tickets.....but its a sure way to get arrested when your handed the ticket... |

If it expires on the fourth, you have until 11:59 on the 4th to drive. Get it renewed before that if you can. |

Your drivers license expires on April 4th? You need to go to the Department of Motor Vehicles, and tell them that you need to renew your license. You need to take your proof of insurance & your registration for your car with you. Fill out a small form. They check your eyes, take your picture for your renewed license, Also you ofcourse have to pay for your renewed license. Cost varies from state to state. Usualy around $20. They give you a yellow slip of paper, that is your temporary license permit to drive , until you receive your plastic license in the mail.
About 4 to 6 weeks they will tell you. If you
don't do these things. When your license expires. Then you can not drive. |
