it all depends on where you live and on the insurance company you deal with. With most companies, you're rates won't go up until your next term, but since it's your friend that got charged, it won't affect you at all. |

Kentata is Correct. The Speeding violation is a criminal offense. Only the person who committed the crime will be held responsible. You should however, be a little ticked at your friend for driving your car that fast...Not a very nice thing to do! |

Your insurance will not be affected. Speeding infractions and anything resulting out of that action is on the shoulders of the driver of the vehicle.
There presently is talk of changes in the insurance industry to make vehicle owners more responsible for moving violations incurred by drivers who may have borrowed your vehicle. |
