My wife had an accident last year,and we had a check in less than 48 hrs. Good luck. (I'm glad no one was hurt too.)

Depends on your insurance company...when I had mine it took up to a week. In the meanwhile see if you are covered with a rental.

Not enough information -- will this be filed under your insurance or through another? Do you have rental coverage? If you do (check your policy) then you can have a rental Monday morning. Contact your insurance company and they can direct you to a company they deal with, (most will pick you up at your home). Determining the damage on your vehicle takes longer. An appraiser or possibly a direct repair shop will write an estimate of repairs on the truck in order to determine if it will be repaired or declared a total loss. If it is repairable, get it to a shop of your choice ASAP as the clock on your rental is running. If it is a total loss the company will 'buy' the truck from you, less the deductible amount if going through your policy, and if there is any left over you start shopping for another truck. Note that they will NOT pay any more than the truck is worth on the market. Start checking around in sales papers and classified ads today for vehicles that are similar year, mileage, model and options. This will help the adjuster come up with an actual cash value you can agree on. If, per chance, you owe more than the truck is worth, then get out your checkbook and be prepared to pay the lein holder the difference. Insurance companies are not obligated to correct for making a bad deal on a vehicle. Usually the claims adjuster can settle your loss the day the appraiser inspects the vehicle and can cut a check for repairs the same day, maybe the next if a T/L. The bigger the company the quicker this happens as a rule as they are better equipped with staffing and resources.

depends on your insurance, just do not give up on them and keep calling them if you are not satisfied with their answer. I do believe that you can rent a car in the meantime but here again it depends on your insurance company. They will try to give you the least unless you make some noises.

Depends on your insurance coverage. If you have a rental rider, you can get a rental car paid for by the insurance company.
The insurance company will have to make a decision on the truck, and on the fault, before making an offer of compensation. You have reported this, right?

As all have said, depends on your insurance company. Remember there are more accidents on weekends than during the week so the insurance adjusters could be busy. Check your policy to see if you have rental coverage as well.
I'm so happy no one was hurt, Thank God is right.

It depends on so many things. In general (breaking this down will make for a very long answer), provided coverage and liability are not in question, it can take between 15-45 days to settle a total loss. You should start looking for another car now. If you're in a rental or get into one, the rental will only be covered another 2-5 days after the total loss offer is made, whether you have another car lined up or not.

If your truck is not paid off, get all paperwork on the loan together. If it is, get your title. The biggest hold up in total loss settlements is not having documentation necessary to process the transfer of the title over to the insurance company.

You have money buy a new truck. Who was at fault? Other party, Buy a new truck first payment won't happen for 60 days. Husbans fault Oh No! Wait take truck to shop have your insurance give you a laughable amount for the totaled truck about 1/3 what you owe because you refinanced it and did not get GAP coverage to pay off the extra loan. Then Cry.
