You won't get in trouble for letting your license expire. You will get in trouble if your drive before you renew it. |

depends on the state.
suggest you not drive until after renewal.
if you have an accident and someone is hurt, you could have major problems, including jail time, and your insurance is void without a valid license. |

As long as you don't drive yourself there-you will do just fine. Be prepared for the photo-op for the new license, and have the money ready to pay, after you do an eye test. Normal stuff.
You won't get in trouble for having an expired license, as long as you do not drive with the expired license. Just please, so you can legally drive again, get your new license asap. Take care. |

No you won't get in trouble going to get a new one. However, if you get caught driving with it you'll be apt to get a ticket! |

the law states you must have a valid drivers license to operate a moving vehicle. the DMV don't really care but they might ask you how you got there...most people I know say a friend or spouse...haven't ever heard of anyone saying I drove myself...so don't really know if they call the police to ticket you or not. play it safe and get a ride to the DMV. judges, courts, lawyers...will all tell you driving is a privilege not a right. |

In most states you can renew your license if it has been expired for a year or less. If it's been expired for a year or more then you have to take the driving and written tests again. |

No, if it's expired, they'll just make you renew it.
If you are talking about driving there, maybe if it were two or three days after expiration, it would have been ok, but 2 months is way too long. If you get pulled over, you'll get fined or jailed, depending on where you are. |

Just go have it renewed I dont think there will be a problem they may charge you a late fee but nothing any more serious than that. |

Most police personnel will just let you off with a warning or a ticket. You won't get arrested or anything like that. They might let you slide if you tell them it recently expired. But that only works when your actually driving to the DMV not to the movies or anything. They might even have to drive you to the DMV if they catch you. If all else fails, just take the bus or train. Public transportation was made for situations like these you know. |

No, just go and pay it.
I accidentally drove around without a valid license for 3 weeks. When I realised, I drove to Vicroads (I'm in Australia), parked 2 BLOCKS away and just went in and paid for a new one. Nobody cared! |

No you won't get into trouble unless you are stopped for some reason while driving without a license or have an accident. I recently discovered that my license had expired six weeks earlier. All that I had to do was take the vision test and pay the money for a new one. I don't know about other states, but in this one if my license had been expired for 60 days I would also have had to re-take the written test. You might want to be prepared for something like that since you said yours expired 2 months ago. Get someone to take you to the DMV or take public transportation, it is not worth the risk you would be taking to drive yourself. |

As long as they don't catch you driving without a license you should be OK. It isn't a law that you have one. |
