will get here on time so I was wondering if that's going to be a problem at the airport? (when they check at the security point)

It may be a problem. Possibly, with the receipt from the state that you renewed it, but just haven't received it yet will be good enough. It depends on who checks your ID, and where you are flying to. A passport would be the perfect alternative. But not everyone has a passport. Any other official photo ID? But I would make sure I brought my official (not hospital) birth certificate, my social security card (not copies, the real things) marriage/divorce documentations if your BC has a different name on it. Hopefully, if you have enough other identity documentation, with your expired photo license will be enough.

I don't think you have to wait until your birthday to renew your license. That's when it expires - you should already have renewed it by then. |

Not having a valid id will be a problem. I would see if you could go in earlier than your birthday. In Ohio we can go in up to a month ahead of our birthday, but we also walk out with the new one the same day. |

you can go in now and renew it so long as your over 21, they will get iot to ya quicker..Just b/c it expires that day doesn't mean you have to wait. You can go to the lic bureau and get a picture id ALSO, IT WOULD NOT EXPIRE..Be sure to tell the workers there at lic bur..that you need this asap. they may suggest that you just go ahead and get a PHoto ID,, do u have a passport..w/picture |

If you live in ca. The DMV gives you an interim driver license and they don't take your old one. Bring both with you when you fly out. Also the DMV can give you a printed picture ID on a piee of paper that has their seal stamped on it. |

You should be able to renew your license before your actual birthday. Maybe this will get it to you before you fly. Call the airport and ask what the procedure is for expired license. You should be able to take your photo license and also the papers showing you've applied for the new ones and be ok. |

Which license are you talking about? I always get my drivers license on the spot when I go in to renew. You should go ahead and renew early and not wait til the expiration date. |
