Her own insurance company will contact you....but....Always inform your own insurance company regardless of the fact that hers will probably pay. They will just "sit on" your notification until/unless something goes wrong. If it does, they can cover the damages for you. |

you need to get her insurance details and then phone your insurance company up, telling them what happened and give them her insurance details. You will be sent a damage sheet in which you may be asked to draw the damage on your car and then they will sort it out from there. |

For the moment you should inform your insurance company on a for information only basis, which means that you can make a claim through them if things foul up. If you are fully Comprehensive I would claim through your insurance company and they will claim off hers. It will not affect your premiums or NCB
An alternative is for her to pay out of her own pocket but given the costs of repair of even minor bumps that is unlikely once she sees the cost for a start she will not believe it.
On balance I would just claim off your company and let them worry about it because that is why you pay your premium. This is going to affect her premium next year but that must be her worry not yours.
you can give her te opportunity to settle privately but as i have said the cost will prohibit that |

Tell your insurance immediately - not your fault so you have nothing to lose and if fully comp then they will sort the whole thing out for you including if you have legal cover getting your excess back from her.
Some of the answerer's above have some very strange ideas about how car insurance works |

Did you inform the police?well i think you need a police report, in case she does nut want to fix it or she's taking to long to fix yr car, then you can call her insurance to fix it for you,and l think you should still ask her for her policy number, bye asking for that she will want 2 fix yr car as fast as she can. |

If she has admitted to fault, then call your neighbor's insurance company and file a claim with them. You don't need to file a claim against your insurance policy unless, for some reason, she is not insured or her company refuses to pay the claim. In that case, you can then call YOUR insurance company and file a claim and then your company will subrogate against your neighbor - which means, they will legally go after your neighbor to make sure they're paid for the repair to your car. |

Another option..
if it's not too badly damaged and wouldnt be too expensive maybe just send it in for repair at a garage and she can pay.. then you don't have to go through insurance which can be a hassle and neither of you loses your no claims.. |

you just make a claim through hers.
your insurance company wont want anything to do with it. you might get them to help you tho if you are fully comp as its usually included in your policy. |
