This has happened to me, any you're in trouble.
Either;
1. You know he borrowed it, your insurers will be notified & they'll cancel your policy, you lose all no claims & everyone will absolutely nail your premiums up.
Or
2. You didn't know - in this case, the police will ask you to prosecute him for TDA (taking & driving away) or TWOC (taking without owner's consent). If you won't, your insurer will be advised & they'll screw you again! |

that depends, if you gave permission or knowingly allowed him to use the vehicle you could be charged with aiding and abeting and allowing a veihicle to be used other than in acordance with the law. If you say he did not have permission and you had no knowledge then you should not be charged. However, if that is the case then your partner could also be charged with taking a vehicle without the owners consent. |

if you admit you let him drive the vehicle knowing he wasnt insured ,you could be charged as well.
better to get your boy friend to say hje took it with out permission... |

If you gave him permission to drive it then you will get the same points as him for aiding and abetting.
If you did not give him permission then he may be also charged with taking a vehicle without the owners permission (twocing)

Don't know where you are but in tx they don't arrest you they will give you a ticket and then you have to prove you were insured at the time then it gets dropped |
