I had my vehicle repoed about 6 months ago due to the fact that the bank told me i didn't have insurance on the truck and was going to raise my payment $150 dollars a month. I sent them in the policy number and the insurance company number so they cold get the info needed to fix this. they refused to call and get the info saying it was not their responsibility to due that. So i gave the truck voluntarily, it was sold, but i was never told what i needed to pay nor was a payment schedule setup. i was willing to deal. now since this recession has hit they want their money all 14000 within 30 days or they will garnish my wages. What i am asking is does anyone know of a clause i could use on them since they refused to accept what i sent in for insurance. i tried for 2 months to get this straightened out.

I would have walked into my bank but i used Chrysler finical to get a better rate then they transferred it to a different bank after one month in a different state. so everything was done over phone.

It would take me 30 minutes to walk into my bank, see the loans officer and let them make a copy of the proof of insurance. How was it that it took you 2 months to accomplish nothing?
OK. still, I would get on the phone, ask to speak to the appropriate person and have them specify what they needed in terms of documents to sort this out, then I would courier the paperwork. Now that you let the car get repossessed its too late to do anything.
Yes you get the insurance packet with your insurance, if not request it from your agent, make a copy and send it in, its not that difficult, it was not an unreasonable demand. |
