I live in the state of new york and I had a car accident a year and a half ago at the time of the accident I had a lapse in insurance. The accident was only involving myself I had hit a patch of ice. Well I went to renew my car insurance the other day on the vehicle I have now and they cannot renew it since my license had been revoked from the accident a year and a half ago. I have no idea why I am just finding out about this now..

I called DMV call center and they said I can get a restricted license does anyone know the procedure for that and how much it costs? I am trying to get over there tomorrow if I can find a ride since i am not supposed to be driving, also is there a way to get insurance on my car now?

of course you can get insurance; in fact you'll have to to get your license. good on ya for not trying to drive without a license. call for the fees. and ask if you need to file financial responsibility with insurance.
