Nys car inspection? just got a ticket?

my car inspection just exspired on 9/9/2007 and i received a ticket yesterday 9/12?????? is there no grace period?

No. The sticker expired on the 9th. Why would you expect there would be a grace period? You had plenty of time to renew before that date.

the inspection expiration is there for a reason.Get it inspected and pay the fine.Also make sure you keep it inspected that way you won't have problems like that with the NYC Police..

The grace period ran from 9/9/2006 until midnight 9/9/2007. Pretty long if you ask me.

You are messing with the state and their money.

Why should there be? Why does everybody think expiry dates are merely suggestions?

If there was a grace period, then you would probably be asking for a grace period on the grace period.

NYS is natorious for bein strict on inspections. There will be a mandatory $35 surcharge on top of your fine, so count on it.

Evidently not. Sounds like you need to make sure you get the inspection done before the expiration date.
