Your homeowners insurance will NEVER, EVER pay for damages to your car, sorry.
Your homeowners insurance MAY pay for damages to SOMEONE ELSE's car under your liabilty IF you are found negligent (example: you are playing baseball with your son in the yard & accidentally throw a wild pitch that hits a passing car, your homeowners would pay the damages).
You chose liability only on your vehicle, so you told the insurance, "any damage that happens to my car, I pay for", so you have to pay for it. |

No. Only comprehensive will cover the automobile in this case.

As far as auto insurance, it's a comprehensive claim. If theres no coverage....theres no repairs.
Homeowners insurance has so many different coverage levels and exclusions you really need to check your policy. |

It is unlikely that homeowners will cover it, but it can't hurt to ask. I had a tree fall on my car from a neighbor's yard. His insurance said they would only cover it if the tree obviously needed cutting down, like it was extremely rotted or something. As it was I was lucky to have full coverage. |
