Passed My Driving Test - Now What?

I've been told i'll get my full license card in around the next 20 days. I was given a pass certificate as well. Do i have to wait for the license to come back or can i drive straight away using the certificate as proof? Thanks

Your certificate IS proff that you've passed the test and so long as you have the necessary insurance, you can drive on that. |

Well done! You can drive straight away, I recommend you go out on your own and just take a little drive around places you know well. that'll build up your confidence, and you'll have to make your own decisions of what to do in an area you feel safe in.

i'm pretty sure you can drive now..please just take care, remember it's not just how carefully you drive, but being very aware of all the nutters out there that don't drive with any care at all..there are drunk drivers,idiots and those stoned out of their minds to be thinking about.. |

You should have sent off your provisional licence along with your pass certificate to DVLA and they then send you your full licence. You are allowed to drive from now, you do not have to wait for your licence to come back. Enjoy your driving and keep safe. |

yes you can use certificate basically when the examiners has said you've passed you can drive from then on just carry your certificate with you |

You can drive straight away - make sure you keep your pass certificate with you though as you won't be on the DVLA systems as having a full license. |

The signed certificate is your license until you receive your permanent photo license in the mail. So, drive. But be aware that If you should get a ticket within your probation period (Which varies from state to state) you will lose your license until your at least 18. So, caution.Have fun |
