Last night my friend flipped his new mustang, i was in the passenger seat and we flipped twice hard. He totaled his car but i'm starting to hurt alot and wasn't thinking last night when i was feeling ok but he went to the hospital they advised me to go but i felt fine now i'm really feeling it today...but i dont want to go to docs if it will jack up his insurance, yet i heard from another friend they went and made a settlement with the other guys insurance company. I'm 18 and don't know how to deal with this i would love some advice, thanks

Get to a doctor and file a claim. Your friends will go up because he totaled his car not because you either did or did not file a claim. |

I would get to a doctor and get yourself checked out. Your health should come first, no your friend's insurance rates. |

Get yourself to hospital NOW! Don't worry about your friend's insurance rates because whether you file a claim or not his rates are going to go up. Right now you have to look out for yourself because no one else will. Serious injuries may not manifest themselves for a few days, so don't make things worse for yourself by not giving the doctors a chance to treat you as soon as possible. Don't worry about your other friend because their settlement has nothing to do with you. Get to a hospital now and worry about settlements later. |

You don't owe your friend anything. In fact, your friend is lucky that you are both alive. You need to go see a doctor, make sure that everything is ok, then call his insurance company and file a claim for your injuries.
Even if you end up having no major injuries, it's better to be safe than to keel over with a concussion or some other random injury that pops up later. |
