had an accident about 3 weeks ago and it was not my fault. I was hit from the rear. Ever since then i have had a sore lower back, left butt cheek and pain shooting straight to my ankle which in turn has made my lower part of the ankle and last three toes slightly numb and tingly. I have been going to chiro for the past couple of weeks and see no improvement. I had X rays which said i have mild scoliosis (which is obviously not from the accident) but also my pelvis is not aligned and the reason for my pain in my left but cheek to my ankle is from a nerve.. Some days i can not get out of bed and i have not been able to sit down or even drive a car i always have to lie flat so there is no pain. Its like a cramping feeling all the way down. Could this be from the accident ?? I do not have ANY history of any back problems and am healthy as a fiddle and this all started a day after the accident, but not as bad as what it is now. Do I have a case if i bring it towards my insurance company. I have also had about 2 weeks off week and am still off as i work in a call centre and my job is to sit down which i cant and also can not drive there. Please Help guys

I am sorry about your injury, I hope you feel better.
First thing you need to do is contact your insurance company and see what they tell you to do. You are paying then for a reason so take advantage of what they have to say. I would also recommend you pile up your medical records together and your police report and bring it to a personal injury lawyer and see what they have to say, since most offer free consultation. They would take at least 1/3rd of your settlement but they know how to "get" the most amount from insurance policies.
It is to your benefit that you had no prior medical history regarding your scoliosis.You have to also see if your state has no-fault insurance, your insurance should cover any medical payments in excess of the limits provided by the other driver's insurance policy.
Also I was wondering when you said it wasn't your fault, is that your personal conclusion or was this stated on the police report or by the insurance adjuster(s) ? |

This is something you should discuss with a doctor and an osteopath. This happened to my mum in a work accident and she started seeing an osteopath which improved her back much more than a chiro. See your doctor first to get a referral and then the osteo should be able to give you a report saying the accident was the cause. It does sound like you have a case but get to the doctor asap to get the referral. |

well its a pinched or damaged nerve, so do mri or more x-rays to find it , get meds and dont sign any papers just be fair, anyway, it might be your scolio, but wreck might have hit you right and pinched or damaged nerve.You might have the (sp?) syatic nerve is pinched or ? but when you see chiro it takes some time to get better it does get worse then other times it goes away fast. ? get good chiro and good radiologist report. .Good luck need anything hit my e-mail. |
