Progressive vs Allstate Auto Insurance?

Progressive. Timely claims service and you can probably get a cheaper rate if you go to the internet.

Be careful that you don't get coverage that are too low just to save a buck though. You may regret it in times of need.

I have Progressive. I also sell coverage through them. They are awesome in paying claims. I've been w/ them since 1999 and have had no rate increase yet!

I have been a Progressive agent for more than 20 years.

I have also been insured BY Allstate.

Progressive claims are second to none. I had a client that had a wreck on Monday, called us on Tuesday - not knowing WHERE his vehicle was. We call the Highway Patrol and located the car on Tuesday. Called Progressive claims on TUesday, they worked the claim on Wednesday and totaled out his vehicle.

They helped him find his replacement and he was in our office on Thursday to get a new ID Card and give us info on his "new" vehicle.

So, start to finish of claim was LESS than 48 hours.

There are SOME companies out there that I would dare say that you would not even have HEARD from them in 48 hours.

ps....oh, and someone mentioned AIG! Well, they are a recent acquistion of Zurich/Farmers/21st Century AFTER the $81BILLION bailout.

I use to use Allstate, and in my opinion they're crooks. State Farm insurance is who I go through now. They have great coverage and my monthly payments went from $115 with Allstate to $45 with Statefarm. Hope this helps.

you should def try AIG, i had insurance with Nationwide before, and it was 85 dollars a month, switched to AIG, and it was only 43, def give them a shot.

Saving money with any company sounds good.....but IF you ever have to deal with an auto accident....thats where the real truth comes out.
You save now and and pay later.....and pay and pay and pay.

Allstate is the "No hands people" when you need them.
Progressive...quick to get sign offs on folks while they are still in an "uninformed phase" of their legal rights following an accident.

Those pretty little service vehicles you see out and about making rapid response to claims....are done for a reason....and not in your favor.

You get what you pay for. I'll stay with State Farm. Screw the rest.
