I never owned a car, nor have I need to car insurance. I see I need Proof Of Insurance, How can I bypass proof of insurance when registering/buying a car from a dealership, etc?

You can't as the dealership won't let you drive out of the lot without insurance. Normally you would have to buy insurance first before purchasing a car or purchase the insurance while you're at the dealership. |

You buy the car, and take your paperwork to the insurance broker for insurance, and DVL for registration, then you go back and pick the car up and drive it home. You don't by-pass insurance, because, if your car is stolen, you have lost it just as sure as if you bashed it to pieces with a sledge, nothing would pay you back for it, and it is illegal to drive without registration or insurance. |

If you are in the USA and pay cash for a vehicle(no finance company involved), some states do not require insurance. Wisconsin is one of those states and there are others. In Wisconsin, the law simply states that if you are found at fault in an accident, you must prove financial responsibility. In other words, if you are at fault and do not have insurance you must pay out of your own pocket. I personally don't like this law, but it is what it is. |

As of january 1st 2007, it is virtually impossible to bypass insurence since the DMV now has to know *at least in california I dunno if this is country wide*. I guess you could get it for a month then cancel it but i think they will let the dmv know. |
