I was in a minor accident and my cellphone went flying into the dashboard and has suffered some damage. Will this be covered by the at fault drivers insurance? How do I bring it up to their insurance company?

Just tell the adjuster handling your claim about it.
Keep in mind - they do not owe you the replacement cost of the item. They owe the Actual Cash Value. That means what that item could have sold for. You may not get the total cost to purchase a new cell phone but you should get something for it. They may also require you to send them the damaged phone. Every company handles these claims differently. Just call up the adjuster...they will tell you what the process is. |
